NIce way to add 6.1 surround to a 5.1 receiver.Nov 23, 2005

"Snake"
I purchased 2 of these to use as rear surrounds. In the end I used these for 2 different 5.1 systems so I could have a virtual 6.1.
I was pleasantly suprised upon hearing these when hooked up. I listened to them using Lord of the Rings, and it sounded quite nice as a rear 6th speaker. I purchased this after reading the great reviews of Bic products such as Venturi and the Acoustech line of speakers, and I`m glad I picked these up these Venuri speakers!
Other speakers I have used:
Harman Kardan
Polk
Kenwood
Onkyo

Very good surround speakerJan 24, 2009

First let me say that the two I ordered sound great. They almost seem like over kill for surround sound. I hooked them up as normal surround setup. They have an addtional input so one side of each side of the speakers can work with seperate inputs (for 7.1 surround possibilities without adding speakers). I used the supplied terminal straps to just use them as normal single surround so both tweaters worked together and didnt take advantage of the dual voice coil woofer. They have a nice high quality finish.

BIC reviewOct 28, 2009
By M. D. Connolly Bought these to serve as a center channel. They do quite well and handle lots of power. Initially a little bright for my tasted but have since broken in and smoothed out. I wonder why the design is not used more for centers with it's excellent dispersion characteristics by side mounted tweeters. I recommened them highly for the price.

Good sound for rear speaker and I love the dual channelSep 25, 2011
By jpindahaus I just bought two of these in August '11. Although I have not fine-tuned my receiver for the rear, surround speakers, I can say that this speaker sounds good. If I am just playing music with my receiver set to "stereo," I get a nice, clean, clear sound. It definitely projects the sound well. I bought these to give myself a 7.x surround without having to buy two extra speakers. This comes with two channels, so, I run the Left or Right in one channel and then the rear Left or Right in the other.
