ARKON Seat bolt mountJan 01, 2010
By Gregor Excellent product! Bought my wife another one for Christmas, she liked it so well. Works great with Pioneer XM portable radio in my 2010 Corolla. Flexible rod is sturdy and holds its shape well. My only compliant is with the two screws that hold the rod adapter to the seat bolt mount bracket, as they seem to be pretty soft. The screw heads deformed when tightened with a socket, so a drop of screw-strength Loctite may be a good idea on final installation. I highly recommend this product (and Loctite, too!)
How simple can it getJul 16, 2011
By TW Mounted in my Explorer on right side of console. Ran wires under console with plastic putty knife and pluged into power outlet. Put antena on dash ( sirius says not to do this but I get just as good reception with this setup as with the factory antena in my new car, and we have dirven all over the country) All in all with this bracket, installing your own SatRadio is a no brainer, and you can save $100 by doing it yourself.
won't stay putNov 29, 2010
By John Duprey I love the Idea of this mount, however it just won't stay put. I used it to mount the head for my Yaesu FT 8800. I position it where I want it and as I drive it moves around quite a bit. Sadly it simply does not measure up.
Perfect Perfect PerfectJun 27, 2010
By Mark Davidowski Instructions were clear. Installation was done in minutes. I love this item. I am considering another for the drivers seat to hold a cell phone or GPS. Moves with the seat and moves out of the way when needed.
works good for lightweight head of my mobile ham radioApr 19, 2010
By Moab Goes in easy; very solid for the head section of the radio. Seems like it might even be sturdy enough for the entire radio (1.5 - 2 pounds), maybe? Just wish I could purchase the part that slips under the seat bolt so I could put that in my other cars - would make switching from car to car even easier and faster.
