THIS PRODUCT IS FALSELY INCLUDED IN ATI EYEFINITY COMPATIBLE LISTNov 27, 2010
By Dustin Cowles This product says that it is an active adapter in 3 places on the packaging. Accell's website lists this as an active adapter. ATI includes this in a list of active adapters on their website.
However, this is NOT an active adapter. If used with Eyefinity it will count as a legacy monitor, not as DP. Beware.
As a passive adapter it works quite well, image quality is fine and it has a sturdy construction. Only 1 star because manufacturer falsely claims this is an active adapter.

Functionality preciseley matches the description and met my needAug 06, 2011
By John G Goddard This device is a passive DisplayPort to HDMI converter and as such seems to work perfectly. I was able to use Accell B086B-001B to take the DisplayPort output from my HP 8440p notebook into an HDMI input on an LCD HD TV with good audio and video quality.

Did not solve my problem.Apr 28, 2011
By B. Ives

I wanted this to add a third monitor to my ATI Radeon HD 5450. It did not work for that purpose. I did find a solution and now have 3 monitors working.
The quality seems good and it is probably a good device, just not for my intended use.
Not an active adapter "Passive"Apr 04, 2012
By rowdy Will not work with Eyefinity...the add said active shoulda done my homework. It does function but not what i was expecting. Have one here for 5 dollars that does the same task. Picture is good u'd just need a converter. I want 3 moniters.

By Eric What's the meaning of ATI EYEFINITY lgoo, MULTI-DISPLAY VALUDATED???
This product is passive adapter, can't use Eyefinity.
It's too expensive for a passive adapter.
