I did not experience any signal degradation over the 25 feet. The cable fed well through the walls and the tips are of high quality with a secure fit.

When I saw this on the list of "related" parts, I immediately ordered it--the price was right. Unfortunately, less than a week later, it was completely gone--not even a record that it ever existed. Eventually it reappeared but at nearly 10x the cost. S-Video cables are dime-a-dozen, but this was good quality at an excellent price. At the higher price--I'm not so sure it's worth it. Note that this is fairly common with AV and computer cables--the same Belkin USB cables that Staples/OfficeMax sell for nearly $20 you can get for $3-6 elsewhere. Almost all of the difference is the vendor markup. But even the generic cables are usually sufficient to avoid buying them at physical stores. Staples and BestBuy are particularly notorious for ridiculous markups, but OfficeMax and OfficeDepot are not that far behind. Get the best available for the price you're willing to pay--don't look for the Ultra-Special Premium components, unless you're planning to use them for lab work.

I bought this to carry the signal from a VGA converter to S-video inputs on TV sets when I use my laptop for karaoke. I was only getting a black and white signal, and after swapping parts around, deduced that this cable was the culprit. Perhaps I have a defective one, but it wasn't worth the cheap price to me.
