Easy To Assemble And Blends In NicelyDec 22, 2005

"Prairie Cajun Regenerated!"
This shelving unit was one of the easiest that I've ever assembled, and I've assembled plenty of them since I have to house over four hundred CDs and nearly two hundred DVDs. I have owned everything from cheap units to rather expensive and complicated to build units. I put this one together in under ten minutes and the only hang-up was spacing the DVD shelves properly. I remedied this quickly after I placed my first shelf in by taking a DVD and placing it on the shelf, then putting the next spacer in place.
Like another reviewer stated, this unit is somewhat flimsy, but it comes with a stationary strap that you can attach to the wall if you so choose. Personally, I think that once you have the unit assembled and the bulk of your media on the shelves, this unit will stay put unless you get a little rough with it.
Overall, not a bad unit for your media. It has a nice look to it and it blends into the background rather well.

"Giant Albino Smurf"
This is a decent product for media storage. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes to assemble, but it's not of the greatest quality. Definately a good purchase for someone on a very tight budget, but if you have the extra cash to spend I would definately invest in a much sturdier product. Assembly is very simple, but the finished product is fiarly flimsy and doesn't stand straight. This will definately serve it's purpose, but I will definately be upgrading to a much sturdier model when I can afford it.

Goes Together EasilyNov 07, 2005

"I Write Science Fiction!"
I enjoyed putting this together. The spacers kinda threw me until I realized you use 2 per pole under each corner of a shelf. I got it assembled then my daughter pointed out that the DVD shelves weren't spaced properly [CD sized] so I had to take it apart and redo it, but that wasn't too bad. The spacers snap apart easily enough, even for my feeble fingers. It's not terribly sturdy [maybe I didn't get the poles screwed down tightly enough] but as long as it's in its permanent location, holds the multimedia well. I really like the way it looks. Bought this item for my teenager and will have to get myself one, too :)

doesn't match the pictureDec 24, 2007
By Earring Lady I returned this shelf unit because it is a shiny silver stand. It appears much darker in the picture. Also, it is a very tall and narrow stand that would fall over easily if placed on carpet.

Easy and functional DVD holderMar 06, 2011
By Anna This 6 tier media rack was a good buy. It was easy (for my husband) to assemble, accommodated the DVD's in an orderly fashion and is serving its purpose. The best part is that it is reasonably narrow and fits in a tight space. I only wish it were taller. As stated, it can be a bit wobbly, but my husband solved that by making the front legs (using the screws) a little higher than the back, so the rack tilted a bit into the wall...problem solved. We will probably get a second one soon.
