Good fit, nice, minimal sleeveJun 04, 2008
By M. Ratcheson I received the sleeve today, and as it happened, I had an appointment in a building in which free wi-fi is available. So I slipped my MacBook Air in the sleeve, zipped it up, threw it over my shoulder and headed out.
I can't really speak to long term durability, of course, but it does seem to be pretty sturdy, and of reasonably good quality for the price. The shoulder strap isn't padded, but then again, the Air only weighs 3 lbs, and it was perfectly comfortable. The inside of the sleeve is padded all around, and lined with a velvet like fabric, so slipping the Air in and out was very quick and smooth. And there are very small padded flaps between the zipper and the computer, so there is no danger of scratching.
It's not skin tight, but the computer didn't seem to slide around at all. There are no pockets. It's a tad thicker than the Air, though not bulky. You might be able to fit the power supply in it along with the Air, but I won't be doing it; I don't really want to take the chance of scratching my computer by squeezing it in, though I do think it is a remote chance. I also purchased a Belkin F5L008-GRY Mouse Trap Mouse Pad for those times I need to pack heavier, my bluetooth mouse, powersupply and ethernet dongle fit into it, and I can hang it from the strap loop.
Overall, I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't add much weight, and it should meet my needs very well. It's a good value, that should provide protection for my MacBook Air. I'm not sure if it's water resistant, but it looks like it probably is. I have a Built NY E-LT13-BLK Small Laptop Case (Black)for those times when I need to pack more stuff, but it weighs more, and this should serve nicely most of the time.
One thing, when I saw the picture, I thought there would be a handle on the side, but there isn't one. That's fine with me, but it might matter one way or the other to someone reading this. I'm thinking what appeared to be a handle to me, is actually just the rest of the shoulder strap.

Great sleeve - but not general purpose carrying caseJul 21, 2008
By L. Holt This sleeve fits the MacBook Air well and is very lightweight. It works well either as a sleeve without the strap (to be used in a luggage or other bag), or as a featherweight carrying case with the strap for when you're going to be out and using it for a short while. As others have mentioned, it doesn't have a pocket for the power cord or other accessories, but that is not what it's designed for - it's just a sleeve, with the added features of a handle and strap. I use a different case for when I need to bring my accessories with me.

Product is just as I expectedMay 11, 2011

I did a lot of reading of customer reviews, spent time looking at pictures of the product, and after deciding this was the product I wanted for this price, I ordered it. Its not the BEST sleeve in the world, it is not the most durable...but for this price it is completely what I expected, and I am satisfied. My intention was to just get a sleeve that I could use immediately while I took my sweet time to come across a more personal or stylized sleeve in the future. I have had this sleeve several months, and still havent come across the sleeve that I imagine I will replace it with. Its a great product for this price, and I am happy with it.

Only thing like it I could find!Apr 09, 2011
By Daniel I really wanted a minimal case for my cr-48, and this is the only thing that didn't have a million pockets. The Good: it fits the cr-48 very well! Looks sleek! The not-as-Good: the plastic rings that hold the bag up are kinda flimsy. Not surprising, considering the price. I plan to replace them with carabiners; then this bag will be perfect. Verdict: totally worth it.

Great case for Google Chrome NotebookMar 03, 2011
By Selden Deemer After looking for a satisfactory case for a Google Chrome Cr-48, my search is over. This case is the perfect minimalist case, and unlike most sleeves, comes with a (detachable) shoulder strap with sturdy metal loops. Width and thickness are a perfect match for the Cr-48; length is about a half inch more, but that means the zipper isn't going to come in contact with the case. However, this case is not the best choice if you want to take accessories, such as power supply, cord, and a mouse; for that, a larger case is needed.
Belkin has another case that fits the Cr-48 (the Belkin 10-Inch - 12-Inch Notebook Messenger Bag (Jet/Cabernet)), which is roomy enough to carry all these things, and more, but it's correspondingly bulkier.
