The look and feel of excellence but looks deceiveDec 24, 2007
By R. Beasley
"In my opinion???"
I thought I had the perfect extension but I soon learned other wise. To cut to the chase it lasted about a week. The over sized connectors are as heavy as lead and this put extra stress on the cable which detached from the connctors in about a week. There was absolutely no shielding that I could see and the wires were as thin a hair. I consider it be a complete piece of junk.

Absolutely NO Kinks and SnaglessJan 08, 2009

What sets this cable apart from all others I've seen, is its extreme physical flexibility. It arrived with no kinks at all, and can be coiled/uncoiled to as little as 1.5" radius with ease. The first think I do with a new cable is reverse-bend all of the kinks to make it as straight as possible - not with this cable. Grab one end, drop the other, and one could use it as a plumb bob.
Electrical performance is flawless, at least to the extent that my signal generator can test. It is certainly fully capable of excellent audio signal transmission.

Nice quality cableApr 28, 2009
By D. WEGMAN I have the Belkin Y-Adapter connected to my PC's Audio out jack and have one leg connected to my In-Motion speakers (used for the i-Touch) via a short 'generic' cable. The BELKIN PureAV EXTENSION CABLE is connected to the second leg of my Y-Adapter and then routed to my desktop for easy access to the female connector. I like this extension cable for a couple of reasons. A) It is long enough to extend an audio jack onto my desktop. This makes it very easy and convenient to connect ear bud type headphones and the extra slack means I no longer pull the ear buds out when I reach behind me to grab something off my printer. 2) The cable is highly flexible (About 2/3 the diameter of your typical cable TV coaxial cable and has a soft rubberized feel to it. If I am working at my desk with ear buds I can easily move the extension cable out of my way and it 'stays' unlike the cheap thin vinyl insulated cables. It is worth mentioning that the cable isn't 'heavy' but it does add enough 'beef' that you will need to use the shirt/pocket strain relief clip that comes with most good headphones. 3) Lastly, the gold tip connectors at both ends seem to be high quality and the connections fit snugly.
All-in-all, I would purchase another one of these cables if the need arises.

Great extension cable!Aug 10, 2007
By A. Duluc I use this for my computer to connect my Logitech Z5500D speakers and some other devices without the need to reach to the back of my desk to swap cables. The materials used in this cable are top-quality: coaxial-like housing, 99.9% oxygen-free, solid-copper conductors. The housing is very soft, the connectors are gold-plated, and it looks high-tech! I use it with the "Belkin PureAV Mini-Stereo Cable" too. Recommended!

Sturdy Cable, with less than Perfect Heads (Connectors)Nov 22, 2011
By J. Price

I use this cable as an extender for my computer headphones, which have one of those curly cords, the type that stretch really far but want to pull your headphones off your head while rocking out to your favorite music. So, i got this extender cable.
Pros: - Sturdy construction, gold plated connectors, thick sturdy cabling probably won't short easily
Cons: - Loose connector. It doesn't take but the slightest pulling or tug and the male end of my headphone cable slides out of the extender cable. The design shouldn't be so loose; it should snap in and remain firmly connected. This isn't the case, unfortunately. It's a pretty glaring design flaw, that results in the cable constantly coming unplugged.
Overall: - It's a decent cable, works if it is kept perpetually loose; if the slightest stress is applied, it comes unplugged. I wouldn't purchase it again, but that's just my personal experience. For some it might function perfectly.
