Ok, but ...Aug 04, 2010
By bazooka The cable works in Digital Dual-DVI (2560x1600). It is a little stiff. I have not used the cable with the analog (VGA) Signal, so I can't comment on that.
Note: There are different versions of the cable under the same Belkin part number. Some do have a ferrite and some don't. It's not Amazons fault tough, Belkin's part number is the same. So Belkin is maximizing the profit by not adding ferrites to all models. The price is on the high side ($2/1ft) you can get similar cables for less than $1/1ft.
However, the cable works fine for me.
Addendum 10/15/2010: One of the cables actually seems to have flaky soldering joints. I'm not too excited about the build quality ....

After reading the unfortunate experience of the one reviewer of this item, I took a chance and ordered it from Amazon. It works great! This cable is less than $0.60 a foot at the current price, is a hair less than 1/2 inch diameter, 24K gold-plated contacts, five layer shielding, and silver-plated copper conductors. Unbelievable. From my research, 16' is about the max for DVI without a booster, but I'm getting excellent definition on that distance from my computer playing AVI movies to a 24" Asus monitor with a Logitech laser mouse, so I can watch and control from the old easy chair! Works for me, along with getting it (with another item) with free shipping in a $25 order, and Amazon gets things out in a HURRY these days. I've also looked at this cable on other sites and find that the above reviewer is quoted and pricing has declined accordingly - what a world we live in these days.

By Jeremy Pugh Plugged the cable in to my pc and monitor and no signal went through. My monitor recognized that the cable was there, but did not display a picture. I then switched to a VGA-to-DVI cable I had lying around to test whether it was the monitor or video card's fault (ie: a broken female connector on the monitor or the vid card) but a signal went through both times. Either this cable was too long to transmit a signal or it was just defective. Either way, I would avoid it and find a shorter cord with more positive customer testimonials.
