Excellent solution for many different applications.Aug 23, 2009

I am a music teacher and I'm using these speakers throughout the music room. Rather than have two speakers in front blaring out the music for all in the room to hear, I can distribute the sound evenly through the classroom.
But let's talk about fidelity. The bass response is so much better than most ceiling mounted speakers. The thing I like the most, though is the dual tweeter design. Have you ever been in the doctor's office when your favorite tune came on and got to that awesome guitar solo, but you couldn't hear it because it was recorded to the channel that is not directly above your head? Well, with the dual tweeter design, you are able to send both channels to one speaker unit and still get true stereo. Cool, eh?
I recommend these speakers for any ceiling mounted application, whether you intend to use both tweeters or not. If you don't, you have a backup tweeter in case you blow one.

Best bang for your buck. Recommended by a buddy, I can say two thumbs up, solid constructions, sound great. Only negative is that I bought 2, then i bought another and the paint color (white) was off a little from the first two...
Good, econimical speaker.Apr 17, 2012
By Richo Item received well packaged. Was easy to install, but I am a do it yourselfer. The speaker sounds ok, good mids and highs. As expected not much bass reproduction (What speaker this size does that?), but being used with a sub, so it all works great, music is clear and provides nice ambient sounds to kitchen area. No, this is not an audiophile grade speaker, but audiophiles do not look into <$40 speakers, nor do they do critical listening through in-ceiling speakers / in a kitchen or hall. The concept for anyone with the basic knowledge in electronics and sound i my opinion is clear enogh, it is a dual voice coil speaker to which both audio channels are connected, or as some call it, a single point stereo speaker.

Confusing conceptJan 03, 2007
By B. Aron Be aware, unless you are familiar with this specific product, it consists of two speakers (R&L)in one enclosure, and you only get one enclosure. I don't know if that produces sufficient stereo effect. The description sounded like two units.
Anyway, I wound up buying an additional unit and using both speakers (R&L) in the same enclosure for each channel. These sound fine.
