Good performanceAug 19, 2009

I bought this is use as a combiner, not a splitter. Since it is a passive device it is likely to work well as a splitter if it works well as a combiner. What I have found is that it works better than other splitters when used as a combiner, with a stronger signal reaching my TV than the other units (I think a Radio Shack splitter, but to be fair the Radio Shack unit does not claim to be a combiner). The mechanical quality (as seen from the outside) looks good. I would recommend the unit if you need a combiner over anything that does not say it can combine. I would guess that it makes a good splitter with equal signal strength going to each output. I do not know about its durability in weather and the like since my unit is in a garage. That is also the reason why I need to combine three antennas to get enough signal. I'd really like to use a roof mount but the reasons I do not are not an issue with the combiner...
Edited to add: This splitter/combiner will send an equal signal to all of the outputs (as a splitter) and accept equal inputs on all inputs (as a combiner). Some other 3-way splitters split the signal once and then split one of those again. This gives one output that gets half the input power and the other two outputs each get one quarter the input power. If you want equal signal strengths in all outputs get the HS-3 or similar. If you want a combiner to combine three equal antennas, you'll need something like the HS-3.

Works great, very decent priceSep 20, 2010
By Ms. Sheree There are expensive splitters out there but this one works just as great. I initially bought a very cheap one with the "gold" plating the ends. I was using it to split 3 tv's. It was awful and caused my picture to go in and out. I also couldn't have all three tv's on simultaneously. I bought this one and I don't have these problems anymore. Very easy to install. Great picture. I am very satisfied.

Fabulous!!Oct 23, 2009
By William Koopmann I highly recommend this HS-3. I am using it to combine 3 TV antennas. This unit increased signal strength 5-15% on all channels, as opposed to the standard -3.5, -7.0, -7.0 db 3 way splitter I was using before the HS-3 arrived. I will have to see how it stands up to the harsh Northeast weather, but after inspection, it would seem to do fine in my environment. I would expect the HS-2 would have the same quality if that would be your need.
Channel Vision 3-way splitter just what the doctor orderedJan 17, 2011
By Craig Brown I was having a problem with my digital cable and decided to rewire my distribution. I used the Channel Vision HS-3 3-way splitter because I had three digital cable runs. Once I moved everything and hooked it up through this splitter, my reception was as close to perfect as it could get. This is a good splitter and if you need one for three devices, buy this one.CHANNEL VISION HS-3 3-WAY Pcb Based Splitters/combiner
