Easy to use and works with Dish DVRJan 21, 2008
By J. Svendsen My Dish Network VIP-622 DVR allows me to send recorded programs to other TVs in my house via a modulated channel 60 output. Having gotten used to this convenience, I wanted a way to send output from by DVD player and my VCR to my other TVs as well.
So I connected them to this modulator and then used a Channel Plus 2512 splitter/combiner CHANNEL PLUS 2512 DC + IR Passing 2-Way Splitter/Combiner to combine the output from the modulator with the output from the DVR onto the coax going to the rest of the house. After programming the modulator channels 58 and 62, I now have all three devices available to the other TVs in my house.
A better (but more expensive) option might be to use a CHANNEL PLUS 5545 Quad Channel A/V Modulator with I/R Output (CHANNEL PLUS 5545), which could handle all three devices (plus one more).
This product was easy to set up and does just what I need!
