This monitor needs a continuous scream for 12 seconds before it sends a signal to the base unit. If the baby crys and stops to breathe before crying again the unit will reset and start over.
The base unit has a microfone function that works better but the baby has to sleep in your room.
I guess I'll try the sonic boom next.
