I, like many teens, get the short end of the stick when it comes to televisions. When we play video game it is often on an old ten plus year old TV that only comes with an RF outlet. What do you do if you want to get the most out of your TV without dishing out $500+ for an HDTV? Get this product!
Like my intro implies I play my xbox360 on an ten year old piece of junk RF TV. Like most teens I do not have a lot of money thus I do not have an HDTV. When I was playing my xbox360 I was constantly agitated when ever I would go to a darker section of the game, snow on the TV would appear thus bringing me back outside the game world to the ugly truth of my TV's horrible picture. I wanted to get the most out of what I got so I purchased this product and an A/V S-video cable for my 360 to work with the A/V S-video RF converter in this product which works just fine. I noticed quite a few differences. The audio increased a lot both in the quality and volume the picture is another part. The only time where I noticed a huge difference from when I looped by xbox360 through my VCR to this product is that when I play xbox1 games, they look a lot sharper and with more detailed color. For xbox360 games it makes the picture more clear and with more detail. For an HD console, like the xbox360, you should save up for an HDTV but if you are not in a job that can give you enough for an HDTV, then get this product.This product doesn't make the picture better just makes it more crisp and clear so you won't notice the faint snow on your screen. Overall this product is amazing. It was very simple to set up and good for Monstercable. I am not trying to bash Monstercable but this is a rare time when I purchase a monster product and notice a substantial difference from what I had before. So, if you are stuck with an RF TV and want to get the most out of it before you dish out the bucks for an HDTV then this product if for you.

I probably have an application that's different from most. I get my content from Dish Satellite TV. The Dish receiver has two tuners that I try to make the most of. One tuner is used for the HD TV at the tuner location and used the HDMI output. But there is also an S-Video output for this tuner on the box. Sometimes I want to watch TV in my basement, and have a coax cable that goes there from the Dish receiver location. So I needed to convert from the S-Video output to channel 3 RF that could be routed to the basement. This box does the job perfectly with no complaints. By the way the second tuner in the Dish Receiver has an RF output, but that one goes to the wife's TV in another room and I can't mess with that one. The hook up gives max flexibility for watching two different Channels in different parts of the house using on one Dish Receiver.

I got this for my friend because he had previously been using things like VCRs and RFU adapters to hook up his PS2 to his old 1990 TV for YEARS, and the picture quality was always very SNOWY and BLURRY.
After we connected his PS2 to his TV via the S-video input on the back of this RF modulator, everything just immediately looked so much SHARPER and BRIGHTER than ever before!
The results that this little device produced was just plain AWESOME; it completely KNOCKED OUT all of the snow and interference that was messing up his picture in the first place.
All of the on-screen text and graphics in his PS2 games looked much more DEFINED and color-bleeding was kept to a minimal.
Even the SOUND was vastly improved; it came out of his TV's single mono speaker alot more louder and more pronounced than before, you can now hear more distinct bass and treble coming out of it (typical of Monster Cable quality).
People who went to his house couldn't even tell that his TV did not have S-video input; it's really that good!
I don't know what's the deal with this "video input booster" thing, but whatever it is, it certainly WORKS.
With all that being said, the only weakness that I can find with this RF modulator is that it is only 1-WAY; which means that you can have only 1 AV device hooked up to it at a time.
Otherwise, this is the BEST RF modulator that money can buy.
For BEST results, be sure to also get the Monster Cable M-series Silver Video Composite F-pin Video Cable (M1000VF-2M) when using this RF modulator.
That cable is an expensive addition, but the diffrerence you will see will be like NIGHT and DAY.

It is a good product don't get me wrong, but make sure this is what you need. this device converts AV (INPUT with the three cables)SIGNAL AND CONVERTS IT INTO COAXIAL(OUTPUT). in other words, you will be able to connect you play station to your grandma's tv.
