5buy this, you will not regret you didSep 19, 2009

Love this!!! Just the right item for my need. Right size, color, shape and style, and most of all right function and ease of use. I was able to take all my CD's out of their plastic cases, and organized them in this presentable case. I wrote down all their corresponding titles on the pullout sheet. Its so easy to locate the CD I want to play just move the button on the corresponding number and then lift the case cover and the right CD is lifted up. Its so neat. Then when you are done. Just drop the disc in the empty slot where you got it from, and you're done. You're back to being organized which is really the idea why I bought it in the first place.
I plan to buy one more for my movies and home made videos. Oh another thing, VERY IMPORTANT, a tip I came up with is to make a copy of the pullout sheet before I wrote my song titles on the sheet so if I want to remove add or change the arrangement of my CDs I can also change the numberings of the song titles on the sheet. So make a few copies of it for future use.
There are also the 100 and 120 disc cases but believe me 80 is more than enough. I thought I could fill mine up but I found out I have about 60 CDs total. So I have more space for future purchases. There's a considerable difference in the cost. So it's something to consider before buying this item.

3Not as high quality as the 100 disk storage systemSep 24, 2009

I had a 100 disc selector and expected the same quality with this one - but the system is not as high quality. Good value for the price, but not as good as the 100 disc selector.

3okay for the priceSep 01, 2009

I have a couple of the 120-Disc systems and love them. Was looking for something to organize software/office type CD's/DVD's, and decided on the 80-disc vs. the 50-disc given the pricing. This isn't Discgear's greatest model, but it'll work for the intended purpose. In hindsight, wish I'd just purchased the 50-disc model - think it's more the quality I was expecting. The biggest drawback on this model is that it does not lock.

no locking device for container. which hinders transport of discs one wrong move and they all spill out. please try to manufactur some type of after market product to lock case, mabey using the end side walls. drill hole and alow for insertion of locking key. otherwise great product but extremely poor design, sorry i bought 2. the romdex devices were better but you cant find them anymore and they locked

3it's okApr 06, 2011

Not the greatest though. The lid flops open instead of having any sort of latch. the slider sticks easily. the drawer for the catalog just slides out whenever you move the thing. It does select the disks when you get the slider on a slot, and it does store them safely and compactly, but it could be better constructed. I got this one, and the 100-disc one shaped like a box, and same issue with both.
