I have had a DLO Jam Jacket before and LOVED it! It had a great no slip grip, the edges of the case absorbed shock really well (I don't drop my phone a lot, but it does happen) and it never interfered with the phone functions.
I just received this Jam Jacket because I needed a new one. Unfortunately the company changed the "style" (I guess that's the best word for what I'm going for). The iPhone has a little "eye" just to the left of the ear piece that senses when the phone screen needs to be brighter and darker depending on the lighting in the room as well as when you have the phone up to your ear. When you have the phone up to your ear, the screen turns off to save battery. When you take the phone back down to hang up, etc. the screen automatically comes back on. The new "style" of the Jam Jacket covers that eye. So now my phone's screen wont shut off or auto-adjust the brightness as needed. I feel like this was a really dumb move by DLO as the iPhone has been around for years now and has always had this "eye". Why would you redesign a case and go and cover something like that???
The screen protectors that come with the case are a joke. They don't even cover the whole screen and the home button hole and the ear piece hole don't match up when the screen protector is on.
Epic Fail...
I'll be returning this product.

My iPhone has been in this case since the day I bought it (about 19 months and counting). The case has enabled me to frequently drop the phone without a single scratch or dent. In fact, I don't even worry about the phone when it drops because the case obsorbs so much shock.
My only complaint with the case is that the parts that cover the black areas on the face of the phone sometimes get in the way when I'm trying to touch parts of the screen near the edges. But the case is so flexible that it's not a huge issue.
The case is highly recommended.

The case has worked pretty well for me. Attracts dust a little bit, but can be easily cleaned. Wish it came with some type of plastic covering for the screen, but otherwise I am satisfied with the product.

I've had this case on my iPhone 3G for a year and a half and my phone still looks and works like new. Despite its goofy name, the Jam Jacket provides a sure grip, which is a good thing since frankly I don't know how anybody holds on to the ridiculously-slick-when-bare iPhone. One outstanding feature is the ease of cleaning. When it gets gunky or dirty, just take it off your phone, get some soap on your hands, lather the case up, rinse it, pat the excess water away then let it air dry for several hours (overnight is ideal). It literally looks like new afterwards. I don't write a ton of reviews but was sitting here using my phone and thought about how well the case has held up. Figured it was only fair to give it a plug. I highly recommend it, especially at this price!

I've had this case for 6 months. Works great, able to hit the home key and volume controls easily. Like the grippy sides and soft, yet sturdy, feel. Works great with the iPhone 3GS. No issues of scratching underneath. I don't use the screen protector. Wish it came it more colors than black. Highly recommended.
