Excellent product to repair Wii disksDec 27, 2011
By Cameraman I used this product to repair two severily scratched Wii disks. Even the disks have deep scratches, after 6 repairs they worked perfectly ( the instructions said two repairs and check the disks in the console). As a reminder, the instructions have a note about not using this product with Blueray or PS3 disks.

Good for Minor to ModerateJan 21, 2010

Bought this to repair an xbox 360 game that had been scratched by the machine due to the console tipping during operation. Left a nice circle scratch. Tried many of the you tube methods (all failed) and so bought this product. Worked like a charm. The scratch is gone.
However, I am sure that this will only fix mild to moderate scratches. Any deep scratches and I say move on and buy another copy.
Somewhat pricey (due to being one of only a few fixers in existence) but worth it.

amazingJan 26, 2011
By jpfan this product worked well on the games I had. it fixed a game I had no hope of fixing I had used every method to clean the game but it did not work. then I used this not expecting any results but it worked amazingly it worked on my xbox 360 ps2 and cd's and they work with no skipping or freezing like they used to. the only down side is trying to sell them people don't like the look of them because it makes more in the process but it is suppose to. the product is very great better than anything else I have seen

Original Version of DVD Dr. Still Works GreatMar 23, 2012
By Bruce G. Taylor I have the original version of this product which I purchased at least 10 years ago and it still works fine but then cost a lot more. It appears to work on the very same principle of the current version -- an abrasive wheel that polishes the disc as it is slowly rotated under the polishing wheel by the crank. The instructions state that ordinary clean tap water can be used when the original fluid is used up. Apparently it is distilled water.
I restored many DVDs I rented that were initially unplayable and looked as if they had been left in a cage of monkeys for several weeks. After one or two passes with DVD Dr., they played perfectly. It's my understanding that this device is suitable for use on CDs and DVDs but NOT Blu-rays.

the original- the bestFeb 20, 2012
By Kotdadabong i used the original Disc DR, and it was literally this product, but more complicated. i love how they said no to the plastic panel covering the wheel, and the tray now just pops out to the side. changed the name (and color, cuz it used to be green not purple) but still every bit as baller
