Poor construction, fast driveFeb 28, 2008
By Sabad One I have only had this drive for a few days now. The drive is relatively inexpensive and very fast when used with a USB 2.0 port. It was quickly and effortlessly recognized by my systems (I have MS Windows XP and 2000). But I would like to add my 2 cents to the choir of reviewers' comments about the object's poor design.
The ring really IS flimsy, and the hole where the ring is inserted is so small that you cannot really replace it with a thicker, sturdier one. Something else I was displeased about, though, is the cap, which is very poorly designed. In most USB drives the caps "clicks" into place. This one does not and only "slides" onto the drive. This means that a slight pressure will make the cap slide off. I can predict that the cap will be easily and quickly lost... Today I found it on the ground after it slid off by simply taking my keys off a (loose) pocket.
It's hard to think that much higher costs would have been involved in designing a better cap and a better ring. Anyway maybe I would buy this product again, but you do want to be aware of the shortcomings.
P.S. written about 12 hours after writing this review. The cap is gone...
P.P.S. written about one month after posting this review. The ring is gone too!
P.P.P.S. One year after purchase, the DRIVE still works, but often (although not always) my desktop (with Win XP) fails to recognize it. It always works fine on my laptop instead.
P.P.P.P.S. It is now October 2010 and the drive is still working fine. The problem I had when I use it my desktop is still there, but it has not got any worse.

Good Overal ProductJul 23, 2007

This is a great USB Drive. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to get a travel drive. The only reason I did not give this product five stars is because the small key ring that comes with it broke off. However, I easily replaced that with some fishing line. I would suggest anyone else that gets this product to do the same if they are planning on attaching this product to their keychain.

That Darn RingMar 05, 2008
By Nicole Black Well, as everyone else says, that ring is really useless. Past there, it's great. I have all of my assignments and all on my ID lanyard (I found some thin wire and pliers, it fixes easy) for school.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!Oct 20, 2007
By E. Margulis As noted above, the keychain link is flimsy but I've been working with it for 8 months now and it's perfect!!! Stil don'y have any problems with the cap not fitting tightly, so... I work a lot cross paltform, Mac/PC (several times a day), and this baby is unstoppable!
