4Ok CD PlayerAug 09, 2009
By Maria W "Maria W"
I bought this for my 2yo. He thinks it's fun listening to music on it, but he doesn't like to use it for very long. The strap is able to go diagonal over one of his shoulders, but I'm not sure that's safe when he's moving around. The strap for the headphones is pretty short, but I guess that's good for safety.

Once you know where the off button is, you can press it through the canvas, not sure if a kid would remember, but I do. I suppose you could draw a black dot on the cover. Without the case there are a lot of buttons, so it would probably be confusing. With the case, the button that sticks up on the top (the spout of the pretend canteen) is pressed to play, and turned either direction for backwards and forwards.

I think it's a nice, reasonably priced CD player. It doesn't have it's own speaker though. I like that with the case on you can't eject the CD. You can move the case over to get to the volume without removing the case.

4fun and functional but not perfectJan 03, 2009

My 4 year old loves this because of its looks--he pretends to be Diego. He's able to play, skip or go back to the next/previous song, and he knows how to pause it. The major design flaw with it is really hard to turn off. There's no on/off button, you're supposed to push the stop button, but it's buried under the cover. So if you want to turn it off you have to take the cover off--that's hard for even me to do.

This is a very cute CD player for a little boy, but it is not user friendly. My 4 year old cannot use it himself and I have a difficult time getting it to work myself.
