Goes great with Discgear disc holderMar 09, 2011

Some have complained that this is cheaply made and the plastic sleeves tear when you insert the CD or DVD, etc., artwork. I didn't have this problem at all. The sleeves are very thin and you have to be careful not to skip over an empty sleeve when filling them with artwork. I have 5 of these albums to go with the 5 Discgear 100 disc selectors I have. They actually have plastic 102 plastic sleeves. One is for the title sheet, and then there is a spare. These take a while to insert the artwork, number all the sleeves with the supplied stickers, etc., but in the end it's worth it. You have to be patient inserting the sleeves, they often have to be folded or cropped, trimmed with scissors, etc. Maybe this is why some people had trouble because they tried to jam something in the sleeve that didn't fit. Make the artwork, cover sleeve, etc., fit, don't force it. I think the whole Discgear system is a little labor intensive to set up at first, but it's worth it in the end. It is a huge space saver. I have over 450 DVD's, CD's, Game system discs, etc., and there is no fast way to organize that many discs, but once the Discgear selectors and albums are set up, they take up less than half of the space and are generally easier to find what you're looking for than arranging all your media in the original sleeves. I set my Discgear selectors up using alphabetization and by genre ( childrens, action, etc. ) but you can do it whatever way works for you. And this system is SO much easier to grow a media library with, because you don't have to move everything around when you get new discs to insert the new discs into your library using alphabetization. You just put the new discs on the end of the selector ( I leave 5 to 10 blank slots at the end of each selector and album for this ) and make a new cover sheet at discgear.com. The new cover sheet will be alphabetized and will lead you right to the new discs. It's really a great system. I live in a small place and this saves a lot of room and headache. I also think they look nicer than shelves and shelves of DVDs, etc. If I have a gripe at all it's just that I wish the album was included with the selector, as this system can get a bit pricey if you have lots of discs. But I found it to be worth it. Highly recommended.

Low Quality ProductApr 23, 2009

I love the Discgear cases, but this literature holder is not the same high quality product or design as their disc cases. The literature pages are very flimsy and difficult to insert material into. Their is a cheap piece of black construction paper inside each holder that falls out along with the literature that you insert should you drop it, accidentally shake it or turn it upside down. If you accidently remove the holder from it's case upside down, which I inadvertently did, you'll have everything all over the floor. What a mess. The labeling stickers are not selectable. They may send you "C" numbered labels when in fact you need "A", but you can't order them. Should you tear a plastic holder, it is no longer useable as they are not replaceable. I would avoid this product until they fix these issues.

Discgear Literature Album - Substandard QualityMar 07, 2011
By Giggyboo The Discgear Literature Album does serve a useful organizational purpose in conjunction with the Discgear Selector 100 Auto Disc Retrieval System that I purchased. However, the quality of the album is far below that of the Auto Retrieval System. You'd never know they were from the same company. Although it's pictured on Amazon with a hard case for the Album, you do not receive one with purchase. The concept is great, and while the product does do the job, the quality is certainly lacking.

Very poor qualityApr 29, 2011
By thepoolhalljunky The pages in this thing are thinner than the cheapest sandwich baggies. The cd/dvd inserts alone were able to damage the pages. I highly recommend the Discgear Browser, but stay away from their Literature Album. My solution was to order UltrPro comic book pages for a 3-ring binder.

Picture not same missing the nice caseMar 07, 2011
By Deathgate Discgear really made a huge mistake by not continuing the hard plastic case. The stupid elastic band is nowhere near as nice and messes up the plastic inserts on the inside. Very bad design since they changed it. I will never buy this product again until they change it back to original.
