Perfect toolsetDec 27, 2010
By Evan Mcmenamy I debated quite a bit on a toolset to get. This one was perfect: it had the tools I need and NO soldering iron. Any iron you get in a kit like this is destine to fail. These tools are good quality for the price and everything you need for computer repair. I cut my own cables for my computers, and this kit is exactly what I need. In terms of your average computer goer, more than enough. I just need to buy a separate soldering iron. Not only is it useful for computer repair, but any electronics for the matter. The torx drivers make it perfect for cell phones, laptops and any electronic device I have. The mini-screwdrivers are perfect for tiny situations and the carry case is icing on the cake. My ONLY con so far is the voltage checker. While it does its job, a Volt Meter (gives actual readings) would have been better, but that's just being picky.

The 85pc tool kitAug 05, 2006

A good chunk of items in this tool kit i had to throw away because it was worthless. There is a mini vac that really sucks (no punn intended) and it gives you a mini flashlight wich is also crappy (mine never worked in the first place). If those items were left out this kit would be amazing as everything else in it is great.

Save your money!May 09, 2007

I bought this tool kit in March, hoping to have a small kit to make minor repairs. Was I ever fooled! The minature vacuum is only good until you need to empty it as there is no way to get it open. The combo wire cutter and strippers only close to 1/16th of an inch of the arms touching thereby preventing both functions. The open end wrenches still have flashing attached which is secondary to the sloppy fit of them. Actually the only thing that comes close to being right is the screw driver with the multiple tips. Of course do not plan on using the ratchet action of the screw driver. When it comes down to it, the only thing getting screwed is the sucker like me who
purchase this item. Get a Rubbermaid box and fill it up yourself.

Though it does not include absolutely everything one would ever need, it is very sturdy and fairly complete.

Fellow PC Toolkit (55 piece]Feb 09, 2009

A nice computer toolkit. I use it every time I work on a computer or build a new one. The variety of tools is excellent and contains just about everything you would need to build or upgrade a pc or laptop. If you are looking for an inexpensive yet comprehensive selection of tools, this may be for you. I am happy with it. The only additional tool you might need is a larger philips screwdriver. The set included is fine, but a little to small when torque is needed for a stubborn screw.
