Poor designDec 09, 2008
By Jason This shredder does shred, but suffers from a design flaw. The clear viewing window is nice to see when its getting full, but its part of the top and not the can. This means when you take the top off to empty it the front is lower than the rest of the bucket and shredded paper spills out the front.
My first P-58Cs also failed within the first couple of months under very little use. The auto shut off feature quit working and it ran continuously. Fellowes did stand behind there product and provided me with a new one, no questions asked.
Fellowes gets an A for customer service, but an F for this particular model.

Annoying feed slotSep 12, 2009
By F. Rush This shredder is reasonably able to handle the listed pages per shred. The complaint is with the top design. The chrome slot is higher than the rest of the lid, and has a gap between the lid and the strip. This continually snags the outer pages, and I end up having to put far fewer pages in to get them to all go at once.
Update 10/11/10 - I finally gave up on this one over the weekend. For the same price, the house brand office supply store one, which also generates 3mmx9mm bits, had a nice funnel type feed slot. Nothing to catch on any more, and the bits that come out are closer to confetti than the strips this one made.

short on capacityAug 11, 2009
By M. Weil I agree with the previous reviewer about the spillage (that clogs up my vacuum). Also irritating is the small capacity of the bin. You can put a bag in it (being very careful not to obscure the window) but that doesn't help much. It is more powerful than any light-capacity shredder I have burned up in the past, but I wish I had bought a different model.

Durable, Sheet Capacity, Jam Free, compact sizeSep 25, 2009

Durable, Sheet Capacity, Jam Free, compact size If you've seen the movie 'Men In Black II' and remember the post office scene, then you'll know what I mean when I say that this little shredder works so well, it's as if Edward himself were inside taking care of business. It gets a lot of use in my office and has never jammed. I would highly recommend it for personal or small business use.

Medium Size - Medium PerformanceJan 21, 2010
By Conan Thomas Living in New York I have limited space, so I chose a shredder that was compact but still able to do a decent job. This shredder performs adequately for its small footprint; it just about meets my needs but is easily jammed up.
If you're looking for a serious junk mail shredder, or need to go though large shred jobs often, this is not the shredder to buy. Go for one of the larger and more capable models as this will disappoint.
UPDATE: 6 months old and the plastic guides near the blades have had it. my shredder = trash.
