Speakerphone function repeatedly quits workingNov 13, 2008
By M. M Magliaro

The speakerphone function in this phone, which is the main reason I bought it, is terrible. Even when it works, it just does not produce enough volume from the other end, and the pickup from your end is way way too weak. If you get more than 2-3 feet from the phone, people at the other end can't hear you. Not much good as a speakerphone. Worst of all, every minute or two, the phone simply quits sending your voice to the other end, and it doesn't start working again until you lift the handset and take the phone off the speakerphone mode. Then you can put it back into speakerphone and it will work for another minute, and then quit again. I tested this in a very quiet room, too. For the techno-minded among you, I'd say the echo-canceling function gets confused, trains itself on silence, and then cancels all your outgoing voice.
Since even when it works, it's junk, I am returning it. You get what you pay for.

Everything You WantJul 15, 2008
By Mitchell E. Davis This phone has large buttons and a good sized caller ID display even though it is fairly compact in size.If you want larger buttons and larger caller ID display, check out the GE 29569GE1.However I would avoid a similar model:GE 29369GE1 which has a loud, painful echo when you speak!

Great Phone, great priceOct 24, 2008
By W. C. Burke We needed a phone at our workstation that displayed CallerID. We had looked at several models in local stores without finding what we wanted. We than checked AMAZON, and sure enough we found this phone. It was received two days after we had placed the order. Great service. The phone is compact, but with large number pads. The CallerID display is large and easy to read. It has everything we could want on a desk type phone. And all at a great price.

Better than expectedJan 18, 2009

I wanted a good speaker phone and finally got it. Those on the other end can hear me fine and I do not have to shout. I like the way you can program the phone too. Good buy for the money.
I use it on my desk and I can continue to work and talk on the phone without holding it.

Everything worked fine the first couple months, then the mouthpiece stopped working. I can hear the other person, but they can't hear me. So, I must use the speaker all the time.
