5This is what your looking for;Read this before installing.Jun 14, 2011
By David D
Just got two of these and installed in a basement with pull-chain lights. These are what you want. I installed one on the top of the stairs and the light it controls is at least 100 feet away. The second is in our basement laundry room. Both can be set to the same frequency, but I found that it was better to put them on different frequency for my application.

***For those who reviewed with "these don't work out of the box"...I thought the same thing at first, as both I purchased didn't work out of the box. I then found, that the instructions fail to mention that you need to open the face plate and remove a small film that is set between the battery contact. After doing that, they both worked like a charm.

At day one 5 stars, for price and function. Will see how the battery in the faceplate holds up and affects signal to light... even at that the batteries are cheap to replace..

5Lights Up GarageNov 09, 2011
By BillyBoy "Doc"
It has been working for over a month. My new Mazda CX-7 has a 3-function RF capability on its mirror so I wanted an additional light in my garage that was controlled from the car as I approached the house. It works! There was one possible glitch as I followed directions: There is a strip of plastic that must be pulled to connect the battery inside the wall controller. I pulled it and the device didn't work on initial try. I opened the controller and found the positive pole not connected to the battery. So, I pushed it and made the connection and it worked as designed.

4Initial battery defective, otherwise goodApr 21, 2011
By psujmatt
I had ordered two of these, and the first worked great. Second one would only turn on light, not off. Finally took it apart and discovered the battery was leaking and corroded. I replaced the battery ($1.50) and now it works fine. The supplier has agreed to refund $1.50 of my purchase price.

4Finally, free from that pull-chain!Nov 04, 2010
By James Daily
There really isn't too much to say about this, other than "it works". Installation took all of one minute: turn off light, unscrew bulb, screw bulb into adapter, screw adapter into socket. If you have multiple units, setting the codes is a simple matter of turning a knob on the receiver and transmitter. Screws and double-sided tape are included for mounting your transmitter onto a wall.

My downstairs bathroom light now operates by switch instead of by that crappy-looking pull-chain. Well worth the money and time I spent.

4Good Portable LightDec 26, 2010
By Aaron Smith
The switches in our living room turn off our wall sockets as well as our light. I needed a portable switch to be able to just turn off the light, while leaving the wall sockets on. This was a perfect solution. Easy to install and cheap. My only two issues--and it probably is the nature of the product and not the fault of this brand or line--is that the receiver is quite bulky and sticks out of my light shades (so get a big one!) and sometimes the switch can be somewhat finicky, not turning on or off. If this happens, I just need to press it a few times and it eventually works--It's probably because of the concrete that the switch is attached to. Easy, good solution.
