Decent headset for home use.Dec 29, 2009
By dawn_ee I ordered this to use when I occasionally work from home. It is a comfortable headset, and the sound quality is good. The mute button, however, must be held down - it is not a toggle or fixed switch.

Love this headset... Noise-canceling is great!Nov 10, 2011
By Jacqui I have owned this headset for several years and use it daily. I work from home and love the noise-canceling feature. I can be speaking on a conference call and if my dogs bark, the background noise is not heard. I do not rely on the volume controls on the headset itself but use the controls on my cordless phone handset, including the phone mute option - so those portions I cannot comment on. For an under $20 headset, I think this is a great buy. After several years of useI have bent the connection that plugs into the jack. Thus, I am shopping for a replacement and am buying the same model. I have recommended this headset to several of my friends and they all love it.

Doesn't play well with some phonesAug 09, 2010

The casing around the 2.5mm plug is too wide for some phones with slightly recessed head phone jacks. I bought this to use with an LG ENV3, but I can't push the plug in far enough to make a good connection. Sometimes I can get a connection hold it with some pressure, but pops back out very easily.
Other than that, it is a great headset. I don't have problems with it being quiet like other reviewers and the construction is solid for a sub $20 headset.

Worth the priceMar 25, 2010
By Hunni This is a good headset for NoN-work related home use. If you work from home and you're on the phone majority of the time, spend some money and get a good headset. I bought a very good headset from AT&T website and paid about $40 and it was great for work at home. Lasted me over two years; my abuse ended it's life span much sooner than need be. And they dont carry that specific model anymore, otherwise I would share it with you all.
Most of the time when a headset breaks, it's my fault getting the cord caught on a kitchen drawer and then ofcourse over time, I've beaten it down. I rated this specific headset 5 star because look at the price, you are getting a decent headset for under 20 bucks. It's comfortable on the head, soft on the ear. The mic extends long enough to not be right against my chin. The only thing that is sorta inconvenient is the mute button, it has to be held down. I have no problems with the sound quality and when I call family I ask about the sound quality on their end, it's always a "yea you sound loud and clear". I've been using it since mid January, I bought it at Target not on Amazon, cost me 15 in Target, no biggie...it has survived my clumsy behavior so far!

Don't waste your moneyJan 16, 2009
By Gyraffe First, you can get this for less than half of the currently listed price. Second, it's not worth even that. The volume control is only useful if you want to lower it. It doesn't even get as loud as the original phone volume with the control set at the highest level. The control is also placed too high on the cord near the headset. The plug makes lots of static in the jack if I bump it at all. The mute button is more than useless. There's no way to tell if you have it off or on until the person on the other line says, "hey, are you still there...hello!" Even with it off, the other person said, "You sound so far away. What's wrong?" My advice: try something else.
