5all around versatile strings for any guitarists playing styleApr 01, 2012
By Mario Cordeiro "fallen angel"
My opinion of these strings are that they are very comfortable, bright pitch, nice warm tones and for all of you guitarists that love to bend, hammer on's,pull off's,finger vibrato's (finger shaking string) these strings are ideal.although I am mentioning this last it is actually the most important fact about these strings,is that they stay in tune forever, even after bending and pulling off notes while doing solo after solo.GHS BOOMERS are my strings of choice and believe me I have tried all of the strings that were available over the last 35 years. This is my opinion and my opinion only.I understand that all guitarists will feel comfortable with some other companies strings depending on what type of music or style of playing they are into.Just like everything else in life we all have different opinions about things but,the GHS BOOMERS are an all around excellent set of guitar strings and very afforable.Mario

I have been using Ernie Balls Regular Slinky 10's and bought these because I was looking for a change of pace. Using them on a Epiphone Dot I didn't notice much of a difference. Seemed a bit brighter when first strung on the guitar but that lasted about a week...they then sounded very similar to the Ernie Balls they replaced. The Boomers lasted about a month before they sounded dull. I had high hopes based on the marketing hype but I didn't see the need to repurchase when the Ernie Balls were less expensive.

4Nice bright sounding stringsAug 08, 2011

I've been using GHS Boomers 10's on all of my electrics for almost 10 years. Most of my guitars have never seen another string. Before I discovered these, I tried every brand under the sun. I have always found the Boomers to be made well and they have a lively, punchy tone. Overall, these strings are an excellent choice, inexpensive and yield a great tone.

5GHS GBL BoomersAug 01, 2011

I've used these strings in either 010 or 011 for years now. They last a long time, hold tuning well once broken-in and sound great for hard rock distorted tones as well as clean sounds.

5They verily have the right nameJun 12, 2011
By Christopher L. MAYEUX "Reverend Fuzzy"
I've been using GHS strings for years, and find the "Boomers" series to be the best of the lot. You just can't find this quality tone from any other strings, regardless of which guitar you install them in. I personally use them in Les Paul and Archtop style Epiphone electrics with the best of results. However, if you plan on using them with a guitar that has a large tremolo system, such as a Bigsby or similar, go with the 11's or 12's for best results.
