Not even the same spec as the official nintendo oneJul 14, 2005

"Tweaker"
Long story short: DON'T BUY THIS ADAPTER, IT WILL FRUSTRATE YOU.
The Intec brand gamecube power adapter has different specs than the official nintendo one. The official adapter provides 3.25amps of DC output. The Intec one is only rated for 2.75amps. Becuase the Intec ones doesn't provide sufficient power, sometimes the gamecube won't spin up your game disk. Especially after playing for a long time and then changing disks. This is probably due to the power adapter warming up (as all power adapters do). The annoying part is that it seems you can only get the nintendo branded adapter from [...]. Oh well.

Stops workingApr 30, 2005
By M. Harris I bought this adapter thinking it would answer my problems. It did, but only for a couple of months. Just stopped working like the nintendo one did.

Does exactly what it should...Apr 07, 2004
By Jonathan This is the same AC Adapter that comes with the 'cube so you only need it if yours died or was damaged...It gets it's job done just fine. Perhaps even a little better then most due to the fact that the box is in the middle of the cord and not on the plug end. This makes it much more convient, since it takes up less space on powerstrips and wall sockets.

DANGEROUS!!!!!Mar 25, 2012
By ernesto sandoval This power adapter is DANGEROUS!!! It worked really well for a few months... then it BLEW UP!!!! I was lucky that my four year old son and I were not close to the outlet when it blew and that it was not plugged into our gamecube. But it did cause a FIRE!!! BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT!!!! The cord burned right off of the AC adapter.DO NOT BUY THE INTEC POWER ADAPTER!!!!
I have added pictures so that you can see that I am not exaggerating.
This is a power adapter, not a game.May 25, 2012
By Jeffman12 I received the product sooner than expected and it works to specification. I now have a functional gamecube when before I had a non-functional one. For some reason Amazon labeled it as a game, so I rated it according to the fun I have with a functioning Gamecube as opposed to a plastic cube that sits on my shelf and does nothing. Not unlike certain other cubes that just sit there and watch when you fall into the toxic goo and don't show up to your birthday, but I doubt a power adapter will help them be any less apathetic.
The secondary rating I gave it is based on my expectations of the product versus actual condition and function; it is in pristine condition and works exactly as it should without deviation.
