4The best, cheap video extender that I foundMar 08, 2010
By Paul Powell
I have a 22" widescreen NEC LCD with a strange ratio of 1600 x 1080. Out of the 3 or so cat5 video extenders that I tried, this was the only one that worked with the not so common ratio. I'm running VGA about 60 ft. It looks decent with no ghosting. The picture is not as sharp and crisp as the monitors that are right near the computer, but it's good enough for what I need it for. I'm using it to remotely control a Mac Pro with two video cards in a recording studio that is in the control room while I'm working in the live room.
