• The input is analog PC or HDTV signal in the format of either RGBHV, YPbPr or YCbCr and the output is digital+analog PC or HDTV signal in the format of digital RGBHV bitstream plus analog RGBHV, known as DVI-I (Integrated digital and analog)
• The input resolution is automatically detected while the output resolution and refresh rate can be selected through the OSD menu via the front panel push buttons.
• 48MB frame memory for frame rate conversion and output picture adjustment on brightness, contrast, color, RGB level and H-V position.
• DVI output enables an all digital rendering of video without the losses associated with an analog interface and is an ideal for use with digital display such as LCD, Plasma and DLP projectors.

Quality piece of equipmentNov 05, 2009

Just got this over-nighted to me to fix a customer's problem where it wasn't spec'd that a cable needed to be VGA for a laptop. I installed a DVI cable. Oops. This was a lifesaver. It worked right out of the box with no tweaking needed. Usually that's not the case with most scalers I've used. Scaling quality is very good for this price range. Gefen may be expensive but if it has to be done right they do beat out generic products that claim to do the same job. I've been burned by those before.
