It did the Job I wanted it to doSep 08, 2009

I got this phone for a friend that I would call "Techno Deficient". He has some sight problems and did not want a cordless phone. I found this phone about a year ago and gave it to him. He loves it. Not a single issue with the phone. It is a good Grandma model, large buttons, large bright screen, and easy to use. The only thing with this phone, that was a non-issue, he never would of been able to set it up him self, so I did it for him. As I recall I needed batteries for it and after a year on the original Duracell's I put in it, it is still happy as can be. And a great price for the reliability it provides.

Good Phone in All RespectsApr 30, 2009
By zorba I find this phone easy to operate, big number buttons, nice tilt screen which shows numbers easily, easy-to-access missed call list. No complaints.

Good basic phone and is reliable in a power outageNov 01, 2009

I originally purchased this phone from Walmart for about $18. A year later they no longer had any in stock when I needed to purchase two more. However, Amazon still carries them. It has no backlight but the clever flip screen is a very nice feature and if the power goes out, the phone still works.

Excellent phone... worth the price.Feb 11, 2010
By Gary in Sun City, AZ Phone was easy to set up. So far I love it. Tilt screen with large readable letters & adjustable contrast, large buttons, good ring. Having 4 AA batteries is no issue with me... it's to hold numbers in memory. There's no AC adapter with this one. GE has made a good phone here. There aren't many corded speaker phones left, yet every home should have at least one (corded). In a power outage, cordless phones will NOT work. I hope GE goes on making these.

Needs a lot of battery.Jul 08, 2011
By technical geek It is a speakerphone, yet it is using battery instead of power adapter. You will spend more money on battery than you pay for the phone. I decide to return.
