I'm a audio mixer and editor. All of these PLASTIC RCA to 1/4 adapters are junk. Any kind of bump or wire stretch, and the plastic adapters will bend and break. I've had to throw away six in a year. Try to buy only the ALL metal adapters. Believe me, you'll be a whole lot happier.

Hosa makes a quality product and these are no exception. Not much really to say except they work as they should. The only better product like this is made by Mogami but is much higher priced.

I purchased these adapters for my audio mixer panel to allow RCA cables to be used. The adapters worked great and are good quality. The compact size also was a plus.

So if your on a budget for a little home project this will probably fit you fine. If your doing pro work, a band that needs long lasting durable goods for travel, etc. Then spend more money for something higher quality.
I didn't think a cheap adapter would be much different than an expensive one, as an adapter is an adapter right? Well not really these things are hollow inside! I never expected something to be cheeped out like that. Now I know how/why people said they bent these and broke them.
Electrically speaking having it hollow should produce a signal just as good as a solid one (its not like your wire is that thick). Mine were also gold colored not silver like in this picture.
It should fit my needs fine just for a little home studio where I may have 2 mics and 1 other source hooked to a small mixer, if they break its not a lot of money to lose I just wouldn't want them to break if I was using them for a job or as a band when failure is not an option. Thus why I say spend more if your in that situation.

i bought this exact same thing from radio shack and they're really good quality, as for everyone else having issues with them breaking, you shouldn't be throwing them around anyways, or else they will break, i'm still on the same pair i bought about 6 months ago and they're still intact and working with amazing quality
