4It is an alright keyboard and mouse comboApr 28, 2010
By Whatsawhizzer
I purchased this keyboard and mouse combo to replace one that I sold. It is compact, and in some ways that means inconvenient to use.

It is nice in the sense that it incorporates all of the keys you would want, including the arrow keys and number pad. However, to save room, they jam everything together. In the end, you get a del/end/pagedown/pageup/help/and home keys all pushed up against the side, so if you are used to using delete, you are going to have to get used to finding it in a nontypical area. The backspace key has also been shrunk down to a much smaller size, which most people would find an inconvenience.

If you need the space and wanted a smaller keyboard, it does the trick. The keyboard is fairly small, even cutting off corners that are wasted space on most keyboards, yet still includes all the keys you would use. The mouse is also slightly smaller than I would be used to, but still fine. Both are USB, and also compatible with a Mac computer, for those who are interested in not spending $80 on the Macs slimline overpriced keyboards.

The keyboard is said to be compatible with all forms of windows(98 and up) and mac, so this is a sure thing buy, you won't have to worry about incompatibility issues that some computers may have.

I give it a 4 star because it is a compact keyboard and mouse, and you can't blame it for being just that. I still am taking a star off because it is a cheap keyboard, with some inconvenient key placement. In my opinion, I would have traded the included hotkeys for a larger backspace button and better placed delete key.

2Iogear Compact Keyboard/Mouse ComboApr 28, 2010
By B. Hollabaugh
This product is inexpensive. It's quality reflects the size of the investment. I bought two sets for a limited use situation. One set worked fine. The mouse on the second set was nonfunctional from new. The cover was dislodged and the proper connections were not made for mouse function. For the price, the product is not a total disappointment. Aside from the one mouse, it works and fills the bill with minimum cost. Don't buy this product as a "full time" keyboard for any system. It will surely disappoint.

2Bad experienceSep 18, 2011
By Auro
The product arrived in the original manufacturers packaging; which was nice. It was as described and depicted in the image and product overview. There was only one problem.. the keyboard wouldn't type anything. The mouse worked fine. I went through my bios and made sure all the settings were right to allow usb keyboards and such and I also tried multiple usb ports and uninstalling and reinstalling the device.. nothing worked. From their I thought it might need a driver but it's a plug and play so Iogear doesn't offer drivers for it. I'm in the progress of returning it. I'm sure it's just a fluke. BTW: the mouse clicks are crisp but loud. My favorite thing was how smooth and perfectly silent the mouse scroll wheel was.. very sleek. My only pet peeve if the keyboard did work would be that the space bar ends around the b key or so.. so you have to use the space bar with your left hand which was a total no go for me. I would have bought a new keyboard anyways but that was a poor deciding factor on my part of the purchase. If you like laptop style keyboards and you believe my experience was a fluke, I'd recommed this purchase to you.

3good for its priceFeb 10, 2010

it's smaller than I expected, but it looks cute. The only thing I'm not satisfied is that the keyboard lacks one "delete" button on the right corner.

2Perfect layout, terrible keysApr 22, 2008
By beaglebaileysmom "Diane"
The keys are just like a laptop. My fingernails hit them, and I hate typing with my fingernails. It gives me lots of typos. I just wanted a regular keyboard that was shorter. It looks like lots of people actually WANT keyboards to behave like laptops (people with very short nails?), and those people should definitely try this. It's so great other than the key shape. But it won't work for me.
