Bought the 8GB Atom in October and have been using it heavily. Loved its small size, ease of use. However, the housing over the insertion end has now completely shattered and fallen off. It started with small cracks, then crumbled and flaked away. The thing still works despite its mangled state.

I've had this for over 1.5 years now and its been great. I love how small it is, plenty of space, you can partition the drive and have a portion that is password protected. Over the past couple months or so the plastic where you insert the drive into the USB slot has begun to deteriorate. It started with a single crack and now there are 3 corners that are starting to split apart (but its still working). That said, I use it ALOT- I use this as my primary storage device for research and schoolwork and I'm constantly pulling it in and out of 3-4 different computers at home and school. I'm very satisfied with it given the size and price, and I plan on buying another and retiring this one to be a drive that I keep as a back-up for personal finance and other important stuff in a small safe.
If I remember right, when I bought it, it was a really tight fit in USB ports, and that may have put some extra strain on it initially.
