Expensive, but well built.Jan 17, 2010

I got this adaptor (actually I bought two) after another unit I bought broke on set. Monster's products are notoriously expensive, but in this case they do offer a design feature that sets them apart.
All the other HDMI-Mini HDMI adaptors I could find are one piece units. (This will eventually change of course, but its true as I write) Almost any twisting on the Mini HDMI side of the adaptor will usually damage the connector.
What the pictures here do not show is that the Monster part has a bit of cable, only about 2-3 inches, between the female HDMI and the male Mini HDMI. That's enough to relieve a lot of stress from the Mini HDMI connector and make this product much more durable.
In addition to preserving the adaptor, this also helps to protect your camera from possible damage to its Mini HDMI connector.
