check your systemJun 18, 2010
By Manny No where on the packaging does the product specify that it is not compatable with 64 windows operating. Thus, many newer computers will not work with this product. Lucky me cannot use it at all. The system requirements merely say windows 2000/XP/Vista and DVD drive with read/write capabilites (DVD-R/W)It never mentions the 32 vs. 64 bit issue.

Product not of useMay 31, 2009
By C. Edward Bernier

I ordered two packs of the Memorex SimpleSave Photo & Video Back-up discs, five per pack. One pack was for my secondary laptop, the second for my primary laptop. I was able to use a disc on the secondary laptop, but not with the primary laptop, receiving an error message stating that the product was not compatible with a 64-bit system.
Nothing in the advertisement on Amazon.com stated that the product would not work with a 64-bit system.
The vendor said I could return the second, unopened packet, but did not offer return packaging or other facilitation as is normally the case with Amazon.com.
So, for the moment I am stuck with 5 unusable disks, unopened.

Paid Full Price...Sep 23, 2009

I paid the full retail price for this product at a box retail store, but I'd pay more for it! SO easy to use, it's almost ridiculous! I only ended up needing 3 of the discs and cleaned off almost 12 gigs from our hard drive, and so happily I have 2 discs for future use. They come in a convenient storage case so no losing them among the countless other discs in the house. This was the cheapest, EASIEST storage solution, and I would happily purchase more! I just bought a 16 gig flash that cost $25, plus shipping... granted, this only backs up videos and photos, but those tends to take up the most space (along with music, which is what's going to go on the flash drive). Over 20 gigs of space in this package, for much less than the cost of my flash drive, and it's easy! What more could you want? (FYI, I used these on an HP Compaq laptop, running XP. These discs require a DVD burner able to burn DVD-R/W, running Windows 2000/XP/Vista)

It didn't work.Jan 14, 2009
By Boomer Boy Didn't work past the first disc. Kept getting a message that proper blank disc wasn't inserted even though one was. Finally gave up after I loaded up a couple discs with the same stuff every time I started over. Nice idea. Too bad it doesn't work.

Does not work - waste of moneyFeb 23, 2011
By Colleen M. Ripley

I purchased this product from Target - did not get past the first disc. After it would find all the pictures and told me I needed 3 discs it would start the download. When it got to "verify" it simply stated that it failed and to put in another disc. It would try 3 times. I did what it said and it didn't work. Don't buy it - as someone said on an earlier post - it is easier to just put all your stuff on to your own DVDs. Cheaper to do it that way and you know that works. Waste of money!!
