The mini optical mouse is exactly what it's name says, MINI. Persons with big hands might have cause for concern about it's size. It literally fits into the palm of my hand and my hand is small.
I love it's size and the retractable cord because it makes for easy storage. The mouse works well except for the retractable cord. At first I was skeptical of the retracting device as I thought it may take away from the ease of movement when in use which, to some extent, it does. Upon using it for the first week the retracting device worked well. On the first pull the cord would hold at whatever point I stopped. On the second pull it would retract. After about a week of use this is no longer so. The device does not stop at various lengths and gives some trouble even when I pull all the way on the first pull. This can be bothersome. I've taken to leaving it pulled out all the time rather than doing the trial and error pull every time I want to use it.
Apart from all of this the mouse works well.

This mini-mouse is very small, light and works great. It is optical so it doesn't need extra cleaning and the cord winds up into a small reel for storage.

Shipping was quick, item was well packaged, unfortunately it did notwork at all. Maybe just bad luck. Already returned and got immediately refunded. A little waste of time, but rarely happens when shopping at amazon.com

This travel mouse was awesome... before I actually travelled with it. I originally purchased it as a stocking stuffer for my toddler, thinking it would be easier for him to use than our normal mouse. It worked well; I loved the convenience of the scroll wheel. Then I decided to take it with me on a business trip... sadly it didn't survive. If you aren't intending to transport this item in a brief case, then it should work fine. If you're looking for a true travel mouse, then keep looking.

The item seems fine, but after 10 minutes of use the track wheel stopped responding. I tried it out on several USB ports, on several computers. It still doesn't work. I'm returning the mouse.
