Poor quality. Stay with included in the box sound cards adapters.Feb 10, 2010
By F. Silva I use HDTV as a computer monitor. I connected a HDMI cable from HDMI TV input to the graphic card (DVI output) of my computer. I bought this adapter to connect my HDTV in the DVI output from graphic card of my computer. It is quite difficult to me to understand why this adapter (that shines like gold and appears to be well constructed), why it delivers poor image and sound quality. And, when I say poor, it is a image worst than 480 lines and degraded color and sound. But it is what it is. On the other hand, other adapter (DVI to HDMI) that looks cheap and came together with my graphic card just works and delivers full 32 bits color and full 1920x1080 resolution without lag or others problems. Do not waste your money. Use the adapters from your graphic card and forget monsters adapters and monsters cables.

Way overrated!May 05, 2010
By Gabe V. This adapter is a waste of money. When I used it to hook my HDMI in port on my HDTV to my DVI out port on my video card, the picture degradation is extremely noticeable, especially around text and highlights in pictures. There are cheaper and better adapters out there by far.
