Excellent sound through a high quality cableSep 02, 2011
By Relytia I bought this cable to compliment my brand new white ASTRO Gaming A40 Audio System. They're essentially a high fidelity private surround sound home theatre system that wraps around your head. I needed an optical Toslink cable in order to experience the 7.1 surround sound. In short, this particular product is excellent, and for two main reasons:
1.)The sound quality here is amazing. I used about three different Optical cables with my A40s, and this one by far sounded the best, and the other two cords were high-end, expensive cables. This way, I paid about half the price and got twice the quality. It's a great deal. Monster takes their sound products very seriously, and the THX certified sound quality isn't messing around. It deserves the label and the highest praise in that department.
2.) The cable itself is very thick and highly durable. It definitely doesn't feel cheap, and although I handle my electronics as if they were human babies (or better yet, puppies, HA! Just kidding, both should be taken care of equally ;P ), I get the feeling I could play tug of war with my wife in the front yard using this cable. Well, maybe not THAT, but the cable feels sturdy enough to be jostled around a bit in normal and regular use. It's a high quality cord made with equally nice, strong material.
Well, there you go. When you buy a cable, you know what you're getting. These two things I've gone into detail over, however, should be the top priority when considering what sort of cabling you want for your home sound set-up. You really can't go wrong with this cable. Buy it, hook it up, and its sound quality will blow your mind.

Mind-blowing QualityFeb 21, 2007
By J. Kent Layton I have always been an audiophile, and look for the best sound that I can get out of my home-theater environment. I've tried numerous types of cable connections, including a Monster Digital Coaxial cable. I thought that sounded good, until I connected up the THX-Certified Digital Optical cable... it unleashed an entirely new level of audio performance out of my existing DVD player and receiver. I was very impressed.
The price is also quite reasonable... if you're looking for a good connection for top-end audio quality, this is the way to go.

Worth itJul 10, 2011
By ghettoraised I went from an 8ft optical cable to the 8ft Monster THX quality optical cable. Initially, I didnt think there would be a noticable difference seeing as how I was already experiencing digital quality music. Man, let me tell you, the Monster cable is the real deal. THX quality sound makes all the difference in the world.

Great soundFeb 01, 2012
By Alex No brainer fiber optic cable. Sounds great! I don't normally buy Monster because of the price. Since I recently purchase an Onkyo with THX I felt it was necessary to buy Monster and I'm glad I did.

Great!Aug 22, 2011
By SteveM There are much cheaper cables to be found, but I thought I would go with the Monster THXI100-F08NF THX Certified TOslink Fiber Optic Audio Cable just to make sure I was getting the best sound from my Sony surround sound system. The sound is flawless!
