Great mount but too narrow for my 65" Panasonic plasmaDec 01, 2009
By Brian Baute This is a great mount and incredibly sturdy. I don't doubt it would hold more than double its 250 pound rating. The directions are straightforward and logical, and initial installation was a snap.
But even the 3-panel installation is only 42" wide, and my 65" Panasonic plasma's mounting holes are 43" apart. I had to take everything down and saw the middle mounting plate apart with a Skilsaw & metal blade then mount the two resulting 2-stud mounts. It's even stronger than the 3-stud option, but it was unexpected and I doubt most people will be interested in sawing their mount in half to make it work. I wonder if this voids the mount's 5-year factory warranty?
