This battery did not fit my Pentax Optio A40 as advertised. No problems receiving credit for return, but be aware that it is not for the A40!

I ordered this battery as a backup, at the same time that I ordered my Pentax Optio S-12. From the picture and description, I expected this replacement battery to be exactly the same as the original equipment battery, but this was not the case. The battery I received was not as pictured, granted this is just a label. However, the original equipment battery was listed at 3.7V/1000mAh, which is what is pictured, while the replacement battery was listed at 3.7V/950mAh. I'm not an expert, so maybe this is not a big deal, but even so this replacement battery is not the same as the original equipment battery, which is pretty much what I was expecting.

I bought this Pentax battery and I also bought a knock-off of it. The knock-off lasts about 1/3 as long. Don't be fooled. Pay a couple of extra bucks for this one and don't be suckered into buying something you won't be happy with.
