These aren't the greatest controlsMay 05, 2009
By H. W. Connors II I picked up two of these based mainly on the features listed and the Pyle name. When they arrived to say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. The PCB on the side would appear to be hand soldered and the boards were both covered in flux, definitely did not look like a quality piece, On top of that, there is zero documentation that comes with these so figuring out which setting on the slide switch chooses what number of speakers are connected requires a good bit of understanding of electronics.
In addition, I attempted to contact Pyle customer service a few times through e-mail and received no responses.
I would say skip this and go with speakercraft or another decent manufacturer.

slide vs rotaryMar 27, 2012
By perry This was a better option to go with the slide control rather than a rotary control. The slide is more responsive than any rotary knob i'v tried and there's a definite distinction between volume settings, another plus as most rotary knobs seem to skip volume, like 1-3, 3-7, just not accurate. I installed the slide like the others, both styles install about the same, pretty simple, this is just better, i would never go back to a rotary again, do it right the first time, go with this it works perfect.
