GREAT SPEAKERSMay 26, 2010
By Kenneth I love these speakers. A lot of bang for the buck. It has wonderful sound, note that it plays high on the tweeters. You must have an EQ to make the adjustments. The bass is just right, not too much. If you want more, I would add a sub. I am a karaoke jockey and my customers agree with me. I only gave it 4 stars because I only had this over a month, It should last me a while,...... I hope. lol

Do not waste your moneyDec 08, 2011
By Scott Do not waste your time or money. This product is poor quality and sounds terrible. The highs are extremly harsh and the lows are nearly absent for a 15" driver. I have learned my lesson, don't spend your money or time and learn the same lesson.

Good highs but no bass at allFeb 07, 2011
By Kevin D It looks good and has nice features and good highs but very little bass and poor wattage handling it's supposed to be 500 watt rms but can be over powered by my 300 watt surround sound receiver I was afraid to hook it up to my amp which when I did even on low volume the speaker is overdriven. I'll be returning this product.
not the best, by no means the worstMay 15, 2012
By Kress111 you won't have to worry about damaging the cabinet, this thing is TUFF! Granted the sound isn't freakishly loud but mated with a decent amp for the price come on. i play some crappy gigs at times and honestly wouldn't subject the best to the environment. i might change to a better set later but for now i can't complain. LOOK, on a budget ( these are budget speakers) the price is right!
Had a pair of these a few years ago, sold em.Mar 15, 2012

Folks it is all about perspective. If you have never had great speakers these look and may even sound impressive to you. I had a pair of these for a couple of years. At first I was just using these for my big annual halloween party and a few stray DJ gigs that came my way. The bass was very bashful. I usually had to turn the bass way up to DJ for parties. The treble was a bit painful to listen to also. My ears are very sensitive, unlike most sound men who have made themselves nearly deaf from exposure to over cranked sound, I still hear very well.
For Karaoke or leaving in some dingy club where you don't want to risk much of an investment these might be fine. A Year and a half ago I dumped these and switched to Mackie Thump powered speakers. The bass on the Mackies, which weigh half as much as these Pyles yet still sound waaaaaaay better, is amazing. The pyles are heavy, clunky and don't sound that great, but they are really cheap.
For an amatuer user these might be fine. You might find the same quality for even less with Podium pro or Technical Pro speakers here on Amazon or on ebay. If you are serious about becoming a mobile DJ or mobile KJ look elsewhere. You need something that is light and mobile and sounds great these are heavy bulky and don't sound that great.
Don't believe the specs given by any cheap manufacturer for amps or speakers ever!!!!! They all lie or exaggerate their specs. By changing the paramaters of how the specs are given, they can make them appear much better on paper than they actually are. For example they make a 200 watt usable RMS output spec out and just report that the speaker is 600 watts and often report frequency response to be 25 hz-20,000 hz when the usable freq responese within +- 3db is actually more like 80hz to 17khz. Just don't ever fall in love with the specs of any cheap speaker or amplifier. There is no regulated standard of reporting sound equipment specs. So all manufacturers can pretty much say what they want, so why would they be honest? Go somewhere and listen to PA speakers, let your ears do the judging. That is the best education about sound equipment you can get.
The more I think about it, take the specs reported by any speaker or amp manufacturer with a grain of salt, because it is so easy to exaggerate specs.
