Solid tool for the professional.Sep 08, 2011

This crimper is top notch. It is solidly built and I haven't had a faulty connection yet. I bought a used one from Amazon and it was in perfect condition. If you don't want to pull your hair out trying to figure out what is wrong with your ethernet system, buy this crimper instead of a cheap Chinese knock off. And if you buy this to replace your cheap unit, don't try to sell the old one. Throw it away.

This product works quite well I've never had any bad crimps it works every time with a good sold crimp that holds the modular plug firmly on the end of the cable.

the manual is poorly written. diagram does not match the instruction. after using it for couple of telephone lines, i love it. Specially i like ratchet feature which is lack on 30-496. Ratchet actually would lock the handle if you do not apply enough force.
