The Banshee 2 gives you the ability to let the guitar signal feed your amplifier at the same time that the talkbox effect is turned on!! This way you get your normal guitar signal through your amp while the talkbox effect runs through a mic (and your sound system). Rocktron has brought an exciting new dimension to the talkbox with the Banshee 2 by providing an effects loop which now lets you add other effects into the talkbox signal path, or through your guitar signal path at the same time! These new features allow you to get some wild new sounds never before done with a talkbox! We?ve also added an active LED to tell you when the Banshee 2 effect is engaged. The original Banshee has served countless players over the years with a modern version of the talkbox. You?ve heard a talkbox used on many famous recordings, from classic rock (Aerosmith, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton) to contemporary rock (Bon Jovi, Disturbed) to hip hop recordings and more. The Banshee models provide easy setup (unlike vintage style talkboxes which are cumbersome to hook up and can potentially damage your gear by blowing up your amp head). What makes the Banshees so unique is the included internal preamp, amplifier, and horn driver. Simply plug into the Banshee as you would any common stomp box, and run the provided ?tubing? up the mic stand and into your mouth. The rest is up to your imagination as you get the most incredible sounds from your instrument (guitar or keyboard). The Banshee's preamp section features controls for gain, tone, and output level. A wide range of clean and dirty preamp tones may be dialed in with plenty of saturation for those who desire lots of gain. | | | Features: | |

Very Happy with this itemsDec 07, 2011
By patti eiserman I bought this for my son, and he was very happy with the quality. It takes a bit of practice to really get the full effect but once you do, it sounds great. The order came very fast, and this was by far the best price for this item.

Its alright, but not worth the priceOct 02, 2011
By rkuhlmann I was extremely disappointed when I got the device. Okay, it makes some cool noises with the guitar and keyboard. However, I would not recommend this to someone using a keyboard, for only the really low notes sound okay. I guess it could be useful for making monotone robotic sounds like in video games, but if your trying to sound like daft punk, you need to have a lot of practice first. Also, you get slobber all over the pipe. It does make a good guitar amp, however it would be much wiser to actually buy a guitar amp for around $50. Those cheap home-made talk boxes may actually be a better idea if you're a beginner. It doesn't have a button to turn it off, so you have to unplug it. In my overall opinion, I would say it's pretty cool, but should be A LOT cheaper - like half price, or as much as the banshee 1. You can't return it once you open the box.
