Terrible Quality, Great DesignAug 13, 2009
By Will As many of the other reviews describe, the manufacturing quality of this stand is pretty horrendous: Much of the metal on the drawer tracks are bent (one which shipped un-welded) and the drawer itself had one side welded slightly crooked such that it was wider than the front of the stand making it impossible to pull out after you have forced it closed. I took a file to the protruding part of the drawer and shaved it down to the width of the other (properly attached) side. I then used a soldering iron to solder the part of the drawer track which was unattached to the place where it should have been welded. These modifications made, the stand works well and the drawer is functional (although slightly flimsy). I place my Dell Adamo in the drawer, my LCD screen on top, and my peripherals (ext hdd, tv tuner, etc) underneath for a VERY organized workspace. After a lot of looking, I have found this to be the best DESIGNED monitor stand, if only it could have been better made...

Looks Great --- Quality QuestionableNov 29, 2009

Looks Great --- Quality Questionable After receiving my order found the the screws that hold the bottom legs on had welding slag on them, Whats that you ask? Thats sparks of hot molten metal that has welded it self to the screws and is not a good thing. Could not get the legs attached because of it. Lucky for me the company is great and sent me a complete replacement for no charge. These bottom screws could use to be a bit longer in fact, Also the drawer slides could use better alignment, Thinking that the mfg. process needs tighter quality controls. All in all works as wanted and heavy duty once put together and in use, Don't be afraid to call the MGF. Standford corp. because they are most accommodating to customer needs and will stand behind there products - would be best if not necessary. Buy with confidence if your handy? RagenRat

Sturdy support with added storage!Feb 08, 2008
By GC I purchased this for my 22" monitor. This is a high quality stand and the added storage drawer is a convenient place for often used items. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Really bad qualityAug 25, 2011
By Jason F Bought this as a printer stand. The quality is really bad considering the high price. It looked great in the picture, and it was the main reason i purchased it. Upon opening the box, there were 4 parts separated for you to assemble, the main body, the two side legs, and a drawer. After setting up the two side supports/legs, i found out that they don't line up perfectly. Somehow the legs are tilted to a side. This wasn't the biggest problem. It was the drawer that almost drew me crazy. The quality of the drawer is really bad. The drawer can't slide smoothly in and out. And it's a really bad problem. I put some office materials in it and every time i open up the drawer everything's messed up cuz i had to pull it out really hard. Don't buy this product. If you think you are going to use the drawer regularly, it stucks in there and will make you wanna smash it.

Great design, bad qualityOct 05, 2011
By BuyerfromNHY THis is one of the best looking stands on the market in the price range... or so I thought. This is one of those products that look better in pictures than in real life. Its a bit bulky. Quality is poor. The unit arrived with small bents. A paint chip from the front of the stand fell off instantly. It is poorly welded. Retractable drawer does not move very easy. It has to be pulled and pushed in very hard. I am not sure if I would buy this item if I have previously saw it in real life.
