Poor fit in final installJan 15, 2008

For a product designed by the speaker manufacturer for rough in installation, I was very disappointed. The product is all plastic and although I did not prefit the speaker prior to rough in, every speaker was difficult to install after sheet rock up and project complete. In order, to get the speakers to fit in, I have to shave the edges of the rough-in frame to get the speaker to seat properly. This was true for all 5 speakers I installed.
So far (5 months), speakers are solidly in wall and no issues. I am concerned about the life of the plastic mounts, but will see.
