Not Compatibile with the HD-1010Aug 31, 2008

This adapter will NOT work with the Sanyo HD-1010. So, if you are buying that HD-1010, do not purchase this adapter. I had to return it and instead will be purchasing a 40.5mm filter that will attach directly, without this adapter.

There's a warning for buyers intending to use this adapter with the HD1010 in another review. Like a fool, I ignored the guy and spent my $20 anyway - thinking this adapter would magically fit my HD1010 unlike all others. Yeah, right.
Folks - don't make the same mistake I made. Listen to the other customer review. Don't buy this thing intending to use it with the HD1010 - it simply will not fit to your camera the way it should. Using a 40.5mm to 49mm step ring did it for me. A standard 40.5mm ring will screw onto the front of the HD1010 perfectly.
