Well WorthwhileAug 20, 2008
By Anthony Talbert This works as advertised and I am quite pleased with it. My wife and I recently took a long round trip from Texas to South Dakota and used the Scosche interface extensively. It installed within 5 - 10 minutes in our 2007 Yukon XL (see the installation video via the Scosche web site).
I ended up leaving my iPod in the glove box so that one of us could reach it if we wished to play a playlist, album, or genre, etc. manually. Based on the limitations of the XM radio in the GM vehicles, only the first 30 - 36 categories (playlist, etc.) will show up and this only when the vehicle is stopped. When moving, just like the XM radio, only the first 6 buttons are available. Prior to our trip I rearranged the playlists on the iPod to have our favorites show up first -- by placing a number (1,2,etc) in front of the playlist name. Of course, by manually using the iPod one can pick anything that is on it.
It was great to see the song title and artist show up on the radio screen and to be able to control most of the functions of the iPod via the radio buttons. We actually used the iPod via the interface for most of the trip. The sound quality was as good as our XM radio.
Good ItemApr 22, 2012
By SamX Easy to instal, does what it says, I also purchased the Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPod & iPhone (Black) by Scosche, at a later date so it would charge my ipod (check with Scosche for compatibility with your vehicle and ipod)Pacific Stereo (email) and Scosche (email tech support) were very helpful, and answered my questions. The instructions for the operation of the AXIPGMLAN are somewhat vague. Worked on a 2012 Impala, factory radio, On Star, XM, no Navigation, with Cat (category) button.
2007 Avalanche with Navi and Xm RadioJan 20, 2012
By Maurice P. Jenkins This works perfect, had some static at first but had to unhook it and rehook it I also have XM radio and Navi with Bose system. I also have the Costal E tech GMX550 and it works perfect along side that as well
ASESOME !!!!Jan 14, 2012
By 7147 It only took about 15 min to install most of that was drill a hole in the glove box to keep the I-POD out of site. This thing is AWESOME!!! I was worried about losing sound quality like you do when you hook up the aux port . I have after market amps Speaker's and subs in my truck. I did not lose any sound the quality it is AWESOME CD quality !!! The only draw back I see is now I my blow a window out. Did mention that you still have all the function of the radio from the steering for your I-POD ... Thanks SCOSCHE FOR A AWESOME PRDOUCT !!!! Get one you will love it !!!!

I purchased one of these about a year ago, but took a few months before I installed it. After installation I was met with a barely functioning device. The display on the radio for control of the iPod doesn't work. And it sometimes causes my radio to stop showing XM data at all. And my iPhone states that the device it was just plugged into is not a proper device and the control may not work. I've read a lot of good reviews, but I think those were previous devices. It appears Scosche has changed them and the new models really stink. Also, these do NOT recharge your iPhone or iPod. Look elsewhere for a better device for this purpose.
