Best FM transmitter I could findJun 24, 2010
By J. K. West I bought about 5 different brands of FM adapters after I bought a new car without a tape in, and every one was AWFUL until I found this one. All of the other FM adapters did not have the transmitter connected to the lighter plug-in, so I would spend immense amounts of time moving the transmitter around, until finally I would give up out of fear of causing an accident and just turn the stereo off. I don't know if it's such a simple design for this as having the transmitter built into the unit that plugs in to the car, but this was the best I could find, and also amusingly the cheapest. It's a little difficult to change stations because of my gear shift and the fact that the transmitter is basically sticking out of my dashboard, but this just works better than all the rest, and I really don't change my radio station that much. If you've had bad luck with other FM adapters, give this one a try. The sound isn't as good as an audio-in port or a tape adapter, but it's still better than all the other FM adapters.

Need to use headphone plugs for some IpodsJun 15, 2008
By mad_molecule I bought the device for use with my 1st-generation Ipod nano. It didn't work so I took it back to the store for exchange. The second device also didn't work - I then discovered that it worked when connected with the headphone plug (not with the USB cable, which the instructions state is for all Ipods except Ipod shuffle).
Otherwise, the sound quality is tolerable but not great, which seems to be the norm for this type of device.

WARNING: you will not get the right product!May 13, 2008

I ordered this 2 times and both times received a universal HOLDER, not the FM transmitter they say you will get. There is a problem in the warehouse and I recommend you do not order this until they change the description to match the image and correct item.
Great Product, good tech support.May 24, 2012
By Mw I bought this from target (for more then the list price on amazon no less) and I have been satisfied with it! I bought it to replace my Belkin tunecast (which I accidentally pulled apart exiting the vehicle with the iPhone still attached) this has not been an issue with this unit because the chords are removable and are based on a mini-USB interface (which is very resilient and rated for many thousands of connections) It lacks the auto-tune function of the Belkin which attempts to automatically find a blank sation (which is fine with me because it worked rather pitifully.) I love how I can charge my iPhone and play the music off of it, and I can also connect my friends phones and devices with 3.5mm headphone jacks because of the removable chords. After 2 months of use the 30-pin apple cable became cracked and lost the ability to work. I called the tech support number and (which I found on Scosche's website) and they immediately issued a free replacement that arrived in a week. The cable they sent me even seems more robust, overall I am quite impressed.
