Works as advertisedJul 05, 2006

This speaker selector works as advertised. It is easy to set up. I am not an audiofile or an expert. Set up took about 25 minutes, including reading the simple manual. I had 6 pairs of speakers to install. The plug-in terminals made this simple. A definite improvement over my 4 pair ProLogic speaker selector. The only complaints I have are minor. A) There are no labels for the different speaker pairs. I had to use my old labels from the ProLogic. B) There is no indicator light to tell you which speaker pair is on. I have speakers outside and I have to walk to the unit to determine if that pair is on or not.

Sima SSW-L6EX Speaker SelectorDec 26, 2007

The SSW-L6ex was shipped quicly by JR Music World. I received it in perfect condition packed in the manufactures box. The unit is large and that was fine with me. Setup was easy with with Sima's speaker wire plugin blocks. Put the wire into the blocks first then plug into the back unit. The unit is easy to use and it worked as described from the manufactures website. I'm using one amplifer and the sound coming from all six speakers was crystal clear with great response. I'm glad I purchased and would recommend this unit. I would like to see some LED system on the unit so you can easily see where you have the sound volume set for each speaker. (At a glance)

Just What My Office NeededJun 15, 2008
By Nick I just moved into a 2,000 square foot building with 10 rooms and 4 hallways and I wanted to wire them up for sound. I ran one speaker to each room and put two speakers in the halls for a total of twelve speakers, all on 16 gauge wire. I already have the 100 watt receiver so I ordered the SSW-L6EX to allow me the 12 speaker capability. It arrived quickly and well protected, was easy to hook up to all that 16 gauge wire and is doing a wonderful job. Some rooms need low volume and some rooms can get by with more. This does the job well. What I really like is that the volume control knob "clicks" up in 3 decibel increments so I can always keep my settings where I want them for each room. What had me more than a little nervous were the plastic connectors. Would they hold all that 16 gauge wire without pulling out? So far, very good, and when you realize there is no reason to push/pull the unit around much, it should be good for years, so I'm not worried. Good purchase.

Solid performance at a good priceMay 22, 2009
By Thomas Applegate I'm no expert, but this Sima 6 channel selector is just what I needed to wire up my house with speakers. Right now I've only got one audio source running into it, but I like that I can add a second source on the B channel. Also, having volume control on each channel was an absolute necessity over other selectors that only have an on/off switch for each speaker set. This feature allows me to adjust the volume for each pair of speakers in each room - crucial for parties where it needs to be louder in some rooms and not in others.
Works like a charm!Sep 14, 2011

Very solid, quality construction. I hooked it up to a 100-Watt power amp and am using all 6 sets of speakers. The A/B Source Select is a great feature and works well. The speaker connectors supplied are a plus and make for a clean, easy hookup. Sound is very good with no noticeable distortion. I notice no stress on the amp, so the impedance matching must work well. I highly recommend this speaker selector!
