Not worth twenty-five bucks let alone the msrp sixtyJul 16, 2007
By sunshinestate consumer I bought this cable in hopes of not lugging around three or four cables when I travel for all of my various camera, camcorder, external HD, and iPod needs. Since purchasing the cable, I still lug around all my cables and leave this "multicable" at home to collect dust. While the concept is fantastic, the design of this cable is horrendous.
The Problems:
First off, the firewire part of the cable is ONLY 6 pin to 4 pin. So forget using it with most harddrives or any other firewire device besides a camcorder. Not only that but it does not crossover anything from usb to firewire or visa versa. Second, I have never even SEEN, let alone needed the other various funky usb ends. To make matters worse, the cable comes with an ADAPTOR, that they sneak into the non visible part of the package for use with more common usb devices which you have to lug around in addition to this POS.
On top of that, the package and description say that it is for use with mp3 players. The package even has a picture of an iPod on it. But alas...no iPod connection plug. If it doesn't work with the worlds most popular mp3 player, I'm curious as to what "mp3 player" it does work with.
So in summary, don't waste your money on this unless you have some type of rare device that can actually utilize at least more than one of these useless ends.

Dissapointed that the description wasn't clear as to how it works. The package says that you cannot transfer fire wire to usb...the description says that you can. Not clear.

NOT AS PRESENTEDMay 07, 2009

The description of this product makes it sound like you can use it to convert and connect a firewire device to a usb port. This is not the case. When the product arrives, it says right on the package that it can only be used to connect usb to usb or firewire to firewire. I haven't used it because it is basically useless. A bulky set of cables that doesn't allow any inter-connectivity.

Not exactly the cable I was wishing forDec 09, 2010
By G. Madrigal Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RAAZB85A0F45T I am rating this cable a 3 star because I don't see anything wrong with the idea of having a firewire and a multiple usb connector cable available for my PC to connect with several devices, but the computer receiving the information really has to have a IEEE1394 and USB inputs in order for the cable to work the way it's supposed to. If you are intending to purchase this cable to connect your firewire DVI camera to your USB laptop, this device it's not going to help you and this is what I explain on the video. I would rate the description of the product with a blunt one star for suggesting that this cable would support the conversion of usb to firewire. I hope you find my review helpful and save yourself some time and money looking to find what doesn't exist.
